Psalm 47

¶ To the Chanter, a Psalm of the children of Korah O clap your hands together (all ye people) O sing unto God with the voice of thanksgiving. For the LORD the most highest is to be feared, and he is the great King upon all the earth. He shall subdue the people under us, and the Heathen under our feet. He chooseth us for an heritage, the beauty of Iacob whom he loved. Selah.
¶ God is gone up with a merry noise, and the LORD with the sound of the trumpet. O Sing praises, sing praises unto God: O sing praises, sing praises unto our King. For God is King of all the earth, O sing praises unto him with understanding. God is king over the Heathen, God sitteth in his holy seat. The princes of the people are gathered together unto the God of Abraham: for God is far far higher exalted, then the mighty lords of the earth.
